Police appeal after reports of burglaries in Exmouth
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information in connection with two reports of burglaries which took place in Exmouth.
According to a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police: "A bogus caller burglary took place at a property in Jarvis Close between 8:15pm and 8:45pm on Wednesday, 29 January 2020.
"It is believed that the suspects purported to be police, no items were stolen.
"The other report of burglary took place in a Pub in Maer Lane, Exmouth at approximately 7:45pm on the same evening.
"The suspects were disturbed and left, no items were stolen.
"Please be vigilant, secure your property at all times and do not allow strangers in to your property, no matter how plausible.
"If you have a cold caller you are suspicious of please phone 999."
