Police arrest three after large-scale disorder involving 'dozens' at Dawlish Warren holiday park
Police arrested three men after large-scale disorder involving "dozens" of people at Welcome Family Holiday Park in Dawlish Warren in the early hours of Christmas Day (25 December).
One man was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries to his hand, and police carried out "extensive" searches of the area.
The force also maintained a police presence at the park for the rest of the day. A number of guests reportedly left the park early due to the disorder.
The three men who were arrested have since been released on police bail.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were notified in the early hours of Christmas Day morning to reports of large-scale disorder involving dozens of people at a holiday park in Dawlish Warren.
"Upon attendance, officers located one man with injuries to his hand. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Officers carried out extensive searches of the area and a police presence remained at the park for the day.
"A 23-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead was arrested on suspicion of affray. An 18-year-old man, also from Hemel Hempstead was arrested on suspicion of affray and ABH [actual bodily harm] and a 30-year-old man from Enfield was arrested on suspicion of affray.
"All three men have been released on police bail with conditions."
