Simon Jupp MP sends 'deepest condolences' on the death of Prince Philip

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, has died aged 99.

The Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

East Devon MP Simon Jupp said on social media: "Sending my deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family on this sad day.

"His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, gave a lifetime of service to Queen and country."

The prince was the longest-serving royal consort in history.
