The Point Bar and Grill is supporting a new initiative launched by Otter Brewery to plant a tree for every pint of Otter beer sold on the premises.

The brewery has already planted 500 trees to kickstart the project.

A spokesperson for The Point said: "We are happy as an eco restaurant to promote & support Otter Brewery as much as we can and we think the timing couldn't be better!

"We'd love to help them get that forest underway.

"The offer sits on Tarka Four & Otter Ale which we have on draft behind the bar.

"So come on you lovely lot, which of these super-eco pints will you be choosing on Tuesday when we reopen?"

The Point will open from Tuesday 13 April, serving customers at tables outside in accordance with government guidelines from 10am to 9pm.

A substantial meal is no longer required to be ordered with drinks.
