Exmouth Stroke Survivors Club is asking schools to help make a chain of paper hearts that will stretch from Exmouth Pavilion to Orcombe Point.

The aim of the project is to educate children about strokes, particularly when and in whom they occur.

Club chairman Steve said: "It will represent how the chain of love for one another cannot be broken and that we can beat strokes.

"If you had a family member who died of a stroke you can put their name on the heart.

"I hope schools will take part in this, getting the children involved is good for education about strokes. Children from birth can have a stroke so not just the adults."

The event will take place on Thursday 22 June at 2pm. If you are interested in taking part, call Steve on 07952 273866.

Exmouth Stroke Survivors Club meets every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Bidmead Community Centre and has regular special events. If you would like to join the club, you can click here to find out more.
