Two young rugby players from Exmouth Community College have been selected to play for Devon's Under-16s rugby team.

Year 11 students Charlie Passmore and Jack Ballett have been selected to play for the Under-16s on Sunday and for the Exeter Chiefs Academy next Friday (February 28).

The Devon RFU call up has prompted congratulations from the community college, a spokesperson said: "Congratulations to Year 11s Charlie Passmore and Jack Ballett on being selected for Devon U16s on Sunday and Exeter Chiefs' Academy next Friday.

"Fantastic to see two Year 11 students selected for Exeter Chiefs' Academy we are very proud."

Devon's Under-16s are hoping to end a successful season with a win when they travel to Trowbridge RFC on Sunday to take on Dorset and Wiltshire.

Devon's A team are currently unbeaten this year, comfortably beating Somerset, Gloucestershire and Cornwall. The match against Dorset and Wiltshire is expected to be 'a tough test'.

There will be two games on Sunday, with the B match playing at 1.30pm and the A fixture kicking off at 3pm.
