Jean Disney Search: Exmouth firefighters help recover body in river

Firefighters from Exmouth have helped police recover the body of woman discovered by a dog walker in what has been described as a 'complex search operation'.

A family of missing Devon woman Jean Disney have been informed that a body has been found. No formal identification of the body has taken place yet and the police are not treating the death a suspicious.

Devon and Cornwall Police have been searching for Jean Disney, from Tiverton, since she went missing on Monday, February 17. At 1.30pm yesterday, a body was found.

Water Rescue Crews from Exmouth Fire Station were involved in the recovery of a woman's body found by a dog walker in a river in Thorverton yesterday.

Devon and Cornwall Police have thanked Exmouth's firefighters for their help in the 'complex search operation'.
