Volunteers are needed to give postboxes in Exmouth a woolly makeover by October this year to raise money for Hospiscare.

'The Mail Trail' will feature a series of postboxes around the town, which will all be decorated with 'toppers' - knitted or crocheted designs that sit neatly on top.

Local businesses are invited to sponsor a postbox, and maps will be available to buy so that families can have fun tracking down the different postboxes with toppers.

Money raised this year will be donated to Hospiscare - an invaluable service that provides end-of-life care to many.

The theme this year is 'Beside the Sea', which the bear in the photo has already embraced with his armbands and rubber ring!

The toppers are due to be in place by 1 October.

If you can knit, crochet, or sew and would like to take part, or if you are a business and would like to become a sponsor, please email Karen Palmer at [email protected]
