Exmouth weekend review: The HeadShed Barbers | Opinion

By Will Goddard

26th Jun 2021 | Opinion

The last time I had had a haircut was over the bathroom sink during lockdown - it wasn't pretty.

With tufts of hair poking out here, there, and everywhere, I was in desperate need of a good haircut.

I found the HeadShed Barbers just off the Strand in Exmouth, and they worked wonders on my scruffy mop.

Inside, it was a good mixture of old and new: I didn't feel out of my depth in a strange 'Millenial' hipster environment, nor did I feel like the shop was an old-fashioned relic from last century.

It retained the classic, no-nonsense men's barbershop style, but with a modern twist - good, meticulous cuts with a nod to the past.

The prices were very reasonable, and I paid just £11.50 for my cut (it was actually so good that I wish they'd had a tip jar).

You can find the HeadShed here on Google Maps, and here on Facebook.
