Exmouth Town staged a fantastic comeback at Western League leaders Tavistock on Friday night (29 October).
Tavistock were two goals up at half time from an early long-range effort, and a breakaway goal late in the first half!
This was a half that Town had most of the play but found themselves losing two down at half time.
The second half started in blustery wet conditions and saw Town on the back foot with Keeper Chris Wright making at least three decent saves.
Town then managed to scramble the ball into the net through Ben Steer after the hour mark, which changed the game.
From then on Town grew in stature and with ten minutes to go,
Morgan Cullen was put through to equalise in fine style. Cullen was left bagging the ground in frustration when a late effort appeared to cross the line for the winner, but the linesman and referee failed to give the goal.Share:
