'Walking rugby' is set to begin soon at Withycombe RFC.

Suitable for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, walking rugby is an excellent way to enjoy a team sport, keep fit, and have fun.

Modelled on the touch rugby format, in which players touch whomever has the ball instead of making a tackle, walking rugby is a slower, gentler game, ideal for the elderly or those recovering from injuries.

Director of Rugby Rick Libbey said: "If you once [played rugby] but can't anymore, or you never did but think you still can, come along to walking rugby.

"No previous experience, no skills, no qualifications or even ability is required.

"Anyone over 18 with a sense of humour is very welcome to come along for a bit of fun on a Friday at Raleigh Park and play walking touch rugby."

The rugby club is located here on Google Maps.

A start date has not yet been confirmed.

To register your interest, please contact Rick Libbey, either by email at [email protected] or by phone on 07909 686479.
