Further rail strikes set to hit Exmouth, no replacement buses

Further rail strikes are set to hit Exmouth and the whole Great Western Railway network this weekend and next week.
The strike days are Saturday 13, Thursday 18, and Saturday 20 August.
GWR has advised passengers to 'only travel if absolutely necessary' and has said trains that can operate are expected to be 'extremely busy'. There will be no replacement bus services.
This month's industrial action marks the third month of disruption, with strikes in June and July having already taken place this year.
What days will be affected by the strikes?
Friday 12 August
Normal timetable. Minor changes to late-night services.
Saturday 13 August
No trains in Devon/Exmouth. No other GWR services will run.
An 'extremely limited service' on the following routes:
- Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington
- Reading to Oxford
- Reading to Basingstoke
Sunday 14 August
Trains will continue to be severely disrupted. Only travel 'if absolutely necessary', but 'local stopping services will operate'.
Reduced service frequency on other long-distance routes:
- London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads
- London Paddington to Swansea
- London Paddington to Plymouth/Penzance (inc via the Kennet Valley)
- London Paddington to Oxford
Monday 15 August
Normal timetable.
Tuesday 16 August
Normal timetable.
Wednesday 17 August
Normal timetable. Minor changes to late-night services.
Thursday 18 August
No trains on all Devon branch lines (including Exmouth, Paignton).
No services west of Newton Abbot (change at Exeter) towards Plymouth/Cornwall.
Limited service otherwise, only travel 'if absolutely necessary'.
Friday 19 August
Trains will continue to be disrupted. Only travel 'if absolutely necessary'.
Reduced level of service throughout the day.
Saturday 20 August
No trains on all Devon branch lines (including Exmouth, Paignton).
No services west of Newton Abbot (change at Exeter) towards Plymouth/Cornwall. Also no trains between Bristol and London, Bristol and Exeter.
Sunday 21 August
Normal timetable, but services will start later.
Can I get a refund?
GWR is allowing people with tickets for travel on strike days to be able to travel on the day before and up to and including Tuesday 23 August.
If you have already bought a ticket, you can get a full refund or amend your journey. If you travel and are delayed by 15 minutes or more, you might be able to claim 'delay repay' compensation.
