The number of patients admitted to Devon hospitals with a positive COVID-19 test is at its lowest since October.

As of 6 April, there were just 14 COVID-19 patients admitted to hospitals across the county - five fewer than the previous week.

11 of these were admitted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, and 3 to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Only one patient in the RD&E is occupying a mechanical ventilation bed.

Some patients may have contracted the virus inside the hospital, rather than being admitted for a positive test.
