Motorcyclist arrested after testing positive for cannabis in Budleigh

A motorcyclist was arrested after testing positive for cannabis in Budleigh Salterton on Wednesday (25 January).

The individual was stopped by police for not displaying learner plates despite only having a provisional licence.

They had also been "appearing to nearly fall off" multiple times.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Budleigh Salterton: Motorcycle stopped due to the provisional licence holder rider not displaying any L plates and also appearing to nearly fall off on multiple occasions.

"Rider provided a positive roadside drug test for cannabis. Motorcycle seized and rider arrested."
