A new Exmouth cycling group for over 50s is set to launch this month.
It will take place fortnightly on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm, starting from 20 January.
There is also a free taster session this Thursday 13 January.
Set up by Katheryn Hope of charity Westbank as part of the 'Healthy Neighbourhoods' project, the group is designed to do get people active and socialise safely during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Katheryn said: "We now have two very good volunteers [with cycling experience] who are very keen to get this off the ground.
"We will start with fairly easy routes and expand as participants become more confident.
"We always stop for a break halfway through when everyone gets to know one another.
"The group ... is open to people with different levels of experience. We have previously had those who have not cycled for years and soon gain increased confidence and fitness levels. We always have a volunteer at the back of the group to support those who may not keep up.
"It is a very friendly and welcoming group for those 50 years and above, though a little younger is fine."
How can I join?
