A new mural of a horse was unveiled at Exmouth Museum on Saturday (1 October).

Winners of a competition to name the painted horse, Sennen and Roux Carroll from Exmouth, did the honours and officially named it 'Duke'.

The two girls were then presented with their prizes, a selection of artist materials, by Mayor of Exmouth Steve Gazzard.

Sennen and Roux also fed Duke his first apple and then toured the museum with their parents.

The museum has said that it would like to thank the artist Gary Cook, Jewsons of Withycombe for supplying the materials for the mural, and everyone who attended the event and supported the museum.
