Two Exmouth RNLI crewmembers to run 72k relay in May fundraiser

Two Exmouth RNLI crewmembers will run a 72k relay next month to raise money for the charity.
On 15 May, Geoff Mills and Dougie Wright will run one kilometer in a relay for every lifesaving emergency attended in 2020, the number of which was 72.
The run is taking place in May as part of a wider RNLI fundraising scheme, 'The Mayday Mile'.
A mayday call is the most serious that can be made at sea, used when there is life-threatening danger.
Exmouth RNLI's income from fundraising decreased by as much as 70% last year.
The pair have already raised more than £900 of their £2000 target.
