Final score: Exmouth Town FC 3-2 Clevedon Town FC
Exmouth Town bounced back from last week's defeat with a hard-working display at Clevedon.
Town were under the cosh for the first twenty minutes, which included a great penalty save by keeper Robbie Powell.
Clevedon did however open the scoring just after, when they broke from a Town corner.
Town equalised when a shot from range was dropped by the keeper and Jordan Harris smashed it home.
Town, now in the ascendancy, scored again through Ace High's effort which was deflected past the Clevedon keeper to give Town a 2-1 lead at half time.
Town started the second half slowly and paid the price when Clevedon scored a second goal early on.
Town were then set back with centre half Dave Rowe being sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes!
Fortunately Town didn't panic and Aarron Denny scored a fantastic winner citing in from the touch line and smash the ball into the top corner from range.
Town could have put the game to bed with 10 minutes to go when Ben Steer was pulled down in the box, but Jordan Harris smashed the resulting penalty over the bar!
This is a much needed three points to keep Town in touch with the top few sides in the division.
This Saturday Town are at home to 3rd placed Helston. Town are hoping again to have a good crowd for this last home game before Christmas.
