Exmouth Town FC is set to play Mousehole AFC this Wednesday 9 March in what could be its biggest game since 1984.

The club beat Wellington 3-0 on Saturday (5 March), in what was described as a 'massive win'. Two goals were scored by the Exmouth's own Levi Landricombe, and one by Dan Cullen.

The club also wore its yellow and blue change kit in solidarity with Ukraine - and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.

Exmouth Town FC now enjoys second place in the Toolstation Western Football League premier division, with 56 points. Its upcoming foes, Mousehole, follow close behind in third place with 54 points. Tavistock leads in first place with 60 points.

Exmouth Town are encouraging members of the public to support them and come down to watch the upcoming fixture.

Spokesperson for Exmouth Town FC Martin Cook said: "A massive win for Town on Saturday with Dan Cullen and a Levi Landricombe brace sets up a massive fixture on Wednesday evening (9 March) when Town entertain Mousehole at 7.45pm.

"With Town now only four points behind leaders Tavistock and a game in hand, plus Mousehole in third place six points behind Tavistock with three games in hand ... this game [is] huge for both clubs and ambitions of Southern League football.

"Town are hoping supporters who have backed Kevin Hill and the team to turn out in numbers as this is potentially the biggest game at Southern Road since they played Fleetwood in the semi-final of the FA Vase in 1984!"

Gates open at 6.30pm for a 7.45pm kickoff, with cash-only tickets costing £7 for adults and £5 for concessions; U16s with an adult, NHS workers, and Armed Forces with ID all go free.

The club can be found on Southern Road, Exmouth here. Parking is limited.
