Firefighters in Exmouth have been celebrating the 60th birthday of much loved Crew Manager Dave Hill.

Exmouth Fire Station took to Facebook this week to pay tribute to Dave's many years of hard work keeping people in the area safe.

A spokesperson for Exmouth Fire Station said: "Exmouth's crews would like to wish Crew Manager Dave Hill the happiest of birthdays, it's a big one!

"CM Hill has served communities for many years and is also the Watch Manager at Colyton Fire Station.

"Over the years Dave has done so much for so many people, at work, for charity, and in the community."

According to his colleagues at Exmouth Fire Station Dave has also collected a record number of nicknames over the years, including: Dangerous-Dave, Hillbilly, Grandad and more recently 'coffin dodger'.

The spokesperson added: "Thanks for all you do Dave and to your, rather large, family for their support too!"
