Exmouth Town FC won 4-1 against Bridport today despite a shaky start and an early goal for the opposition.
However, the Exmouth side managed to win and take away three points from the game and keep a secure place in the league table.
A club spokesperson said: "Town travelled to already relegated Bridport knowing that 3 points was a must to keep the dream of Southern League football next season.
"Town didn't start off well and keeper Robbie Powell had to make a string of saves .
"Bridport did take the lead after 20 minutes to Towns horror, but an Ace High drew the game level just before half time.
"The second half Town took control of the game and a hat-trick by Levi Landricombe gave Town the points."
Exmouth Town FC now faces Millbrook on Monday 18 April and league-toppers Tavistock on Wednesday 20 April.
