Exmouth Town FC 3-1 Melksham Town FC

Exmouth Town FC faced off against Melksham Town FC on Saturday 13 August in the club's very first Southern League match.

The historic away fixture saw Exmouth secure a solid victory with two goals from Levi Landricombe and one from Jordan Harris.

Exmouth Town was promoted to the Southern League Division One South for the first time in the club's history at the end of last season.

A spokesperson for Exmouth Town FC said: "Town were two up at half-time with a couple of opportunist goals.

"Jordan Harris scored a thunderbolt five minutes into the second half to put Town three up, but Melksham restored the two-goal deficit almost instantly.

"The last thirty minutes was almost one-way traffic with Town's defence absolutely working overtime and keeper Chris Wright fantastic in the Town goal securing the three points."

Exmouth Town FC's next match will be at home on Wednesday evening (17 August) against Wimborne with kickoff at 7.45pm.
